Character Name: Kreutzer Wilhelm XIII
Canon: Gundemonium
Game Transplant: Wonderful Worlds
Original App: Bam
Game Summary: Based entirely on The World Ends With You (which will be abbreviated as TWEWY in this app), Wonderful Worlds recreates the “Reaper’s Game” TWEWY revolved around. The Reaper’s Game, in essence, was a competition only those who died could take part in and the reward for winning was coming back to life. The players mostly consisted of Players (those who had their powers stripped, their most valuable possession taken from them as an entry fee and actually went about completing the missions) and Reapers (those who worked as employees for the ones running the Reaper’s Game and got to keep their powers); Players were given one mission per day to complete and a time limit to complete with. As long as one player completes it, all players win. If no one does, then they all face erasure (which is essentially oblivion). The Reapers’ role is to play opposition to the Players, impeding their progress however they can without resorting to direct combat. This meant deception, cunning, setting up barriers and arranging mini missions to have them taken down and, most frequently, summoning Noise through the use of pins (Pins had many abilities usably by players and reapers, with restrictions on who can use what dependent on the person themselves. Only reapers were capable of using Noise pins).

The game itself took place in a parallel dimension to the real world called the Underground (hereafter shortened to UG), where all participants of the game were. All living characters were still in the normal realm, called the Real Ground (hereafter shortened to RG. Anyone still alive and in the RG are called RGers). People in the UG could still see and hear people in the RG just fine, but anyone in the RG who wasn’t a reaper couldn’t see anything going on in the UG. Reapers had the ability to hop across both realms, whereas Players were restricted to the UG. However, Players had a limited affect on the RG from the UG and some missions catered around that (such as imprinting words or memes into RGers’ heads or repelling Noise from feeding off of RGers).

The location of each game changed with each week, starting off at Shinjuku, then to Romania, Lutie (a fictional town in the game Ragnarok Online), Port Island (the setting for Persona 3), New York City and finally, the ruins of Shibuya. The game died off before it reached its conclusion, but the visit to Shibuya was the intended final location.

I KNOW I TALKED YOUR EARS OFF, BUT HERE’S HOPING I DIDN’T FORGET ANYTHING.

How long was your character in Game: The game opened in September of 2012, but each IC day lasted one OOC week, so technically six weeks. time shenanigans are a mess like that
History of Character in their Game: Almost a story of redemption. Almost.

How did they change from their canon personality wise (Please explain what caused it to happen?)
Before Kreutzer found herself in the Reaper’s Game, she was a scared, lonely girl whose misfortunes caused her to question fate in its entirety while the guilt from turning against her own empire and her only friend caused her to view herself as no different from a demon. She was too scared to do things alone and ended up taking a more reckless path that she’ll come to regret for the rest of eternity.

Though the regret will likely never leave her, Kreutzer’s time in the Reaper’s Game sharpened her resolve, her awareness of the world around her and gave her direction with which she could put herself to use for the benefit of others.

It’s important to note that what Kreutzer values most above all else, above her love of sewing and singing, above the home she grew up in, above even her own family, is her vision. Kreutzer forcibly lived a sheltered life back home and as a result, barely got to see the world outside the castle walls. At best, she had one window in her room that faced North, so even if she looked through it, she couldn’t see the sun rise or set. She wanted nothing more than to leave home and see the world in all of its wonder…and during her time in the Reaper’s Game, she did. She went to Japan, Romania, New York City and even a video game world…but during week four, when she had her sight robbed from her, she learned that eyes weren’t the only tool to see the world. It helps with taking in its beauty, yes, but like an art exhibit, it’s not enough to be able to look at the world or be able to touch it with her own hand; she had to feel it. Starting from week four, Kreutzer felt the energy of each location, the emotions and thoughts of the people, what made the world more than just something to look at…and she learned to do more than just see the world: she learned to experience the world.

For most of her time in-game, Kreutzer let her actions in life weigh her down; her guilt got so bad, she had a temporary lapse in sanity at the end of the first week. With no one to really count on for support at the time, the only way to help her was to literally beat some sense into her. That event was summarized what she feared most: going so out of control, she needed to be defeated and/or killed. She had enough of that in canon. Ironically, being a Reaper meant putting her in a very similar position on a daily basis: making her an obstacle for others to overcome. This only ever reached an extreme on day three, week six, when the idea of her being a demon that needed to be killed was further engraved into her mind.

However, this was quickly offset by week four, when she realized two important factors: the first was how difficult she is to kill. Although her meeting with Xion was a blatant act of serendipity, it meant little in comparison to her will to fight on and not lose so easily, to stand up to adversity whenever it forced itself upon her. The second thing she learned was the importance of others (and mankind in general) deciding things for themselves. Of course, it was okay to help guide them in the right direction every once in a while, but ultimately, it came down to their own actions. The second revelation truly hit her during her encounter with Nyx, where was willing to stand against the creature and Xion for the sake of fulfilling her duty.

Combined, these two revelations helped her learn what it really meant to be a Reaper: it wasn’t about just killing any Player they could find; it was about testing them and their will to survive. Resurrection and their most prized possessions were what all Players were meant to fight for and Reapers were meant to give them the strength to overcome adversity by presenting themselves as adversity. This heavily contradicted Kreutzer’s guilt towards her actions in life, but by week five, she learned to no longer flee from her inner demons and instead, embrace them. Her purpose was to be the necessary obstruction in others’ paths, a trial to be cleared so that they may grow stronger from it. Though she still repents her betrayals and actions in life, she uses those mistakes to better fuel her next actions, knowing now what not to do when guiding others into being stronger individuals. She even gained self-control, no longer allowing herself to lose her mind or get too emotional. She’s largely adamant while working, but she still has enough of her heart left to smile.

Her faith was brought into question numerous times during those six weeks, with a majority of the questioning being done during the second, third and fourth. During those early days, she questioned her worth and just how much of a change she could actually make. It largely began on day five, week two, the day she met The Flutters. The pony convinced her to buy a pet dog and for the remainder of the week, Kreutzer tended to and loved that little puppy. Needing to leave it behind for the third week truly dampened her spirits, making her believe she sent it to its death the instant they walked out of the pet store. That week was spent slowly rebuilding Kreutzer’s ability to believe and culminating at the late night meeting with Grovyle, where he reminded her of the life force of the world and the importance of faith.

His words alone gave her the willpower to survive the first day of week four. That week put her body and soul to the test, a test where she came out on top with a sharpened resolve and a cemented ability to believe…the ability to believe in others, to believe in herself and most importantly, the ability to believe at all.

Kreutzer met an interesting variety of characters in those six weeks, characters she either befriended, admired or stood off against. Each of them left varying impressions on her and since I already spoke of most of them many times across the app, the following will list them off as well as a blurb on her thoughts towards that person. Like an impromptu CR chart

Grovyle: A Pokemon who erased himself from time in order to save the world from the dark future he grew up in. He was assigned to be Kreutzer’s partner at the start of week two and the first person in the game she could trust. He was the leading factor in Kreutzer’s development as a person and by the end, they both found someone they had more similarities to than they initially thought. Kreutzer feels she owes him her life for helping her so much and considers him a true friend. As one of the few people she could truly resonate with, Grovyle’s death devastated her. She hasn’t had nearly enough time to move on from it, but she keeps him so close to her heart, she can still hear his voice telling her to never give up.

Fluttershy/Fluttercruel: A yellow pegasus pony whose body is occupied by two souls: her own and a meaner, crueler version of herself, hence the appropriate name. Kreutzer found her talking to Noise on day five, week two and they hit things off rather quickly, as opposed to the slower process of getting acquainted with Grovyle. Fluttershy convinced her to buy that pet puppy and unknowingly set Kreutzer off on her journey to find faith. Serving as both the gentle push and the forceful shove, The Flutters became her other closest friend in the game. Their arriving after Grovyle’s death is what kept Kreutzer from giving in to despair, so their forming a pact was that much easier.

Xion: A mysterious girl who normally wore a black hoodie. Oddly enough, Kreutzer remembers her best not by her face or her appearance, but by the feeling of her presence. Since she first met the girl while she was blind, Kreutzer was reliant on instinct and feeling the world around her with her Player Pin. She started as a crutch and worked her way up to being a confidant and another friend. Even when Kreutzer returned to being a Reaper in week five, she still treated the Player as a good friend. Mewtwo’s announcement of Xion being the one summoning the Taboo Noise surprised the devastated Kreutzer, but she gave Xion the benefit of the doubt and wished her well in hiding from others. They haven’t spoken since.

Mewtwo: A Pokemon with incredible psychic capabilities and fueled by insatiable hatred towards all of humanity. Like Xion, Kreutz better remembers him through the vibes she gets from him, except those vibes are much more ominous. She had repeated meetings with him, slowly learning of his true ambitions and, despite trying to kill her in their first meeting, she offered to help him through his anger out of genuine concern. She wanted to help him make a world where clones and originals could live together in peace, but he would have none of that. She knew trying to reason with him on that third day would likely send her to her own demise, but after being so tired of the bloodshed, she didn’t care. As for how that third and final meeting ended…she’ll never know.

Ryoji Mochizuki: A flirtatious boy who had an air of mystery about him, but still had genuine sweetness to win the trust of most others in the game. Their first meeting had him transforming into Thanatos to save her from the attacking adventurers on day six, week three. Ironically, Kreutzer, still believing herself to be a demon, resonated with the idea of being a beast in the form of a regular human. Still, he proved himself to be a sweetheart and earned Kreutzer’s trust. Even during week four, he was able to make her smile…and though the girl’s encounter with Nyx proved to be a difficult task, she still cared for him when he was made a Player on week five. Like many others, Ryoji was lost to the taboo Noise, but Kreutzer will best remember him not as Thanatos or Nyx, but as a human boy with a heartwarming smile.

Asakura: A criminal and madman who found pleasure in hurting and killing others. He and Kreutzer never saw eye to eye, except to stand off against each other. Their exchanges go too far beyond taunting before week four, where he made himself known as an ever present threat to her. She and Xion only ever battled him on day five and they won that one out. Thanks to her sanity lapse back in week one, Asakura served as a reminder to hold on to her beliefs and sense of self, lest she wish to return to being a psychopath.

Zecora: A zebra filled with enough wisdom to rival her rhyming prowess. She battled as a Player ever since the first day if the first week and proved herself as the biggest contender along with her partner, Sasuke. Kreutzer didn’t interact with her too often, but the girl still respected the zebra’s resolve and determination. Zecora stood opposite to Asakura in Kreutzer’s mind, serving as an idol to demonstrate how strong you’ll be if you keep your beliefs close to heart.

How did they change from their canon physically (Please explain what caused it to happen?):
Powers:

Canon Abilities
-Flight is a natural ability of Kreutzer’s. It’s exactly what it sounds like.
-Danmaku attacks that consist of firing many bullets arranged into patterns. Coming from a doujin shmup game lets her do this.
-Enchanting is a key ability of Kreutzer’s. She can enchant items to give them special effects and abilities, but she mostly uses this to bring her dolls to life.
-Doll manipulation deserves a section of its own. The dolls she creates are sentient and very much capable of combat. Each one has its own personality and style of combat, but they each have kamikaze bombs they can detonate upon physical contact with an enemy.
-Exile Illusion is her transformation ability. Several photonic wings sprout from Kreutzer’s back, making her danmaku attacks intensify and gives her a large general stat buff.

Abilities earned in-game

Due to them being dead and without a physical body, Players and Reapers are all manifestations of their spirits. Without the restraints of a physical body, this meant physical exercise and strain were easier for many of them (though Kreutzer, weak as she is, only received a marginal boost to this). More importantly, this made them aware of the immaterial parts of the world. Their spiritual power heavily came into play by being able to slightly manipulate the RG via imprinting words into others’ heads, for example.

Such powers often got used in missions, but perhaps their greatest ability is the ability to channel their spiritual power through special pins found throughout the Reaper’s Game. Each pin had different strengths, effects and ranks, particularly positive (close range attacks) and negative (long range attacks). Due to her personality and alignment as a magic user, Kreutzer is only capable of using negative pins, but she can use many, if not all, of them. With a player pin, she’s also able to sense the world around her, letting her feel the world’s energy and read the thoughts of others, akin to telepathy. This, of course, will be handled through a permissions post.

As a Reaper, Kreutzer can freely travel between the UG and the RG, as well as set up barriers to block off others and summon Noise with the use of Noise pins. She also has a pair of black reaper wings on her back, even though her magic allows her flight without them. They’re there whether or not she uses them.
Possessions:
-A cloak
-One pair of wool gloves
-One modernized bow for archery
-One Cell Phone
-One Nintendo 3DS with games
-Several decks of Pokemon cards
-Pins, which will be added later

Please provide three samples from your previous game, at least one will have to be third person with context:
Sample One: Patrolling Day 1, Week 5
Sample Two: A reunion with Grovyle after week 4
Sample Three: A more balanced encounter with Mewtwo
Extra Sample: Kreutzer goes to Nintendo World

Notes: Does the game have anything similar to the UG? Unless anyone else is capable of similar planeswalking, Kreutzer would only either use it for ensured privacy or to play her part as an observer.
