Character Name: Kreutzer Wilhelm XIII
Canon: Gundemonium
Game Transplant: Mayfield/Gargleblasted
Original App: The original Mayfield one and the Gargleblasted one to go with it.
Game Summary: Mayfield took the form of a 1950s American town that claimed itself to be “The Perfect Place to Live.” Characters were forced together in a single household, where they formed impromptu families and were assigned roles based on their age and sometimes their species, meaning anyone under 18 was considered a child and non-humans were usually forced to be pets. Of course, all powers were pretty much stripped from the characters, though the IC excuse was to ensure they all feel like a normal and happy family.

Mayfield was never normal. Not even with adults with jobs forced on them or kids needing to go to school. After all, it tried to convince everyone that they spent their entire lives in that town, whether or not they actually did so. Most of the time, they didn’t. The lack of normality was also partially due to the strange events that frequently happened, usually one per month. These events ranged from menial things like flowers that made people extra cuddly or lovey dovey to more grotesque and horrifying things like alternate reality shenanigans or making people kill each other. The only benefit to these events was being able to regain abilities and/or items from home. Those who didn’t want to wait for events, however, could make the trip to the post office and trade for their things. However, the exchange rate for regains wasn’t exactly worth it (not when the cost could literally be a limb, an organ or your memories.).

But perhaps the most unsettling part of the town were the drones, who acted as if Mayfield truly was the perfect place to live, blatantly ignoring any and all events while also believing those trapped in the town had lived there all their lives. On top of that, it was possible for the captives to be turned into drones themselves; though it normally happened when you broke one of the town’s rules (such as not going to work/school or killing people), it could also happen for no reason at all. Sometimes it was temporary and other times it was permanent. There weren’t many ways to tell when it was either or. Regardless, it quickly became clear to the captives that the town was far from perfect and until they could find an escape, they had to play by the town’s rules, whether they wanted to or not.

Gargleblasted, on the other hand, was significantly less horror-themed. Based on The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, Gargleblasted took place on a ship called the Thor, a giant spaceship large enough to hold an entire city within it. In addition to its own collection of aliens and creatures, people from many different universes and timelines found their way to the Thor via wormholes. Upon arrival, the characters were greeted by giant stacks of paperwork necessary to living on the ship and the Vogons sitting behind said stacks. Vogons are fat, ugly creatures who absolutely love paperwork and love bombarding people with them. Regardless of whether or not the characters filled out the work, they’re told that their home worlds have been destroyed by some unpredictable (and usually very silly) catastrophe and if they want to save it, they have to take missions and save up enough money to use the giant planet creator cannon thingy and remake it. Yeah.

After the initial welcome, characters became refugees and were given journals for communication as well as a room to live in. Starting out usually isn’t much and they were forced to share with others, but as they obtained higher pay wages by working more missions, they could afford cleaner, fancier homes to live in. However, the missions they had to undertake, much like the rest of the game’s setting, had serious potential for silliness. They changed depending on which planet the Thor was docked on, but simply put, there were enough jobs for everyone.

Aside from that, Gargleblasted left plenty of room for characters to simply live their lives on the giant space ship however they saw fit, whether they were striving to go back home or just have a good ol’ time adventuring through the universe. They had the freedom to choose and roll with whatever path they chose…so in other words, this game had significantly more freedom than Mayfield.
How long was your character in Game: Six months in Mayfield, Eight in Gargleblasted
History of Character in their Game: With her newfound look on life, you can argue she's only one year old...

How did they change from their canon personality wise (Please explain what caused it to happen?)
Kreutzer changed immensely over the year and few months she spent across both Mayfield and Gargleblasted. No longer is she the distraught, lonely girl longing for death; from what she was rose a girl who stood proudly and confidently, able to enjoy life as it is and actually be happy with it. Of course, she didn’t reach where she was without enduring many agonizing moments, but it’s because of those agonizing moments that she’s able to actually find happiness in other things.

The first, and one of the most important, change to her personality is how she now refuses to forget her past actions. She tried that early on in her Mayfield days and it worked against her the entire time she was in that town, all the way until those lost memories finally returned to her. Six months of escaping the guilt of betraying Rosa and destroying her empire all caught up to her at once and all of that distress simultaneously prying into her head was more than she could take. Of course, she still has moments of reflection and recalls her past mistakes, but she now also focuses on her accomplishments and how many of them couldn’t have happened if not for the mistakes she made. She has her friends to thank for no longer getting lost in repentance, particularly Eiki, who brought to Kreutzer the punishment she deserved for everything she did in Mayfield and back home.

A large part of her anxiety came from having only one friend back home (who she couldn’t remember until her last day in Mayfield) and no one to relate to or even spend time with. At first, she was more interested in making enemies who could put her down if the need ever rose, but as time passed and she made more friends than she expected, she abandoned that mentality…especially after Hajime finally killed her. When she died again, she realized how pointless it would be to kill herself or die over and over again, despite wanting to truly stay dead; each time she would simply return later and have wasted time that could’ve gone to better use. This lesson became much more valuable once she found her reason to live, which was for the friends she had and the life they helped her put together.

She entirely gave up on trying manipulating people into doing what she should’ve done on her own. Despite it being one of her great skills, it only served to bring her more heartache than truly necessary in her life. With her newfound courage and belief in herself, she’s now more comfortable dealing with her problems on her own rather than sending others to do it.

Her confidence is something that deserves its own mention. The lack thereof when she first woke up in Mayfield tied into her overwhelming guilt, but with the clearer conscience that came from saving others in the alternate carnival and receiving judgment from Eiki came the strength to face her problems head-on. More important than this, however, was Kreutzer learning to ask others for help whenever she can’t accomplish something on her own. The courage to take on her problems was one thing, but it takes greater courage to ask for help in solving those problems. This was most evident during her last night in Mayfield, when she was crying over both what she had done to Rosa and the loss of Rarity. She opened up to Applejack and Apple Bloom much easier than she would’ve if not for all of the development prior to this moment.

Finally, one of the most important things she learned across her time in both games is to be happy with herself and appreciate the life she has. Even though the first six months were grueling and difficult, they helped shape her into the happy, spirited girl she became during the next eight months. Acknowledging that her life began exactly when she awoke in Mayfield, Kreutzer took to heart everything she faced and used it to help herself become a person she could be proud of. Even when she learned of her fate as a digital clone, she didn’t let that slow her down in the slightest. In fact, she used it as an excuse to enjoy her life more than she already did since her real self was still dead. If her own fate was to be miserable, then she would simply fight it and keep on enjoying herself…for the real Kreutzer’s sake and her own.

Kreutzer never thought she’d experience any kind of growth in death, much less make any friends from it. Despite this, she met a colorful cast of individuals she truly cares for and will always remember, even if they don’t remember her:

Hajime Aikawa: The human form of the Joker Undead. Arguably Kreutzer’s first friend, arguably not. The first four months of their relationship was tense and twisted and involved a lot of explosions, but in the end, Hajime became one of the greatest reasons for her development. He told her she should fight the fate she felt so miserable with. Though jealous of how much better off he always was than her, Kreutzer deeply cares for him and considers him a true friend. She’ll always regret treating him like a monster, but she’ll always appreciate how much he helped her regardless of that.

Rarity: A white unicorn with an eye for fashion. Kreutzer’s friend in Mayfield since her first day one, she was nothing but a positive influence to the girl and someone she could relate to on more fun grounds instead of angsty “end of the world” sort of things she could with some of her other friends. Her generous heart always stood out to Kreutzer, especially when the Rarity aboard the Thor accepted the girl’s friendship, despite their admittedly awkward first meeting. Kreutzer feels she owes her life to Rarity and will never forget how much the pony means to her.

Applejack: An earth pony with a love of farming. A simple pony, but one Kreutzer appreciates nonetheless. She taught Kreutzer what it meant to have a family and to take things one step at a time, so in a way, she looks to Applejack as a surrogate sister.

Luke Triton: A spirited young boy who always enjoys a good riddle. She took him on as a student early on in their relationship and he proved himself as a capable prodigy. Helping him along actually helped her keep better control of herself, so as to be a better role model for him. Despite the unfortunate happenings of the AU event, she and Luke still hold a true teacher/student relationship and is proud to have helped him as much as she did, whether it was pulling him out of a crumbling church or teaching him all about science and alchemy.

Apple Bloom: Applejack’s younger sister and a filly in search of her special talent. Like Luke, Apple Bloom helped Kreutzer keep better control of herself simply by being around. Her imagination and passion towards earning her cutie mark admittedly inspired Kreutzer, who was still in search of happiness and meaning. Taking such good care of her helped strengthened her relationship with Applejack and the two agreed to take Kreutzer on as an honorary member of their family on her last night in Mayfield. Through Apple Bloom, Kreutzer also learned what it was like to be a part of a family.

Tachikoma: A spider-shaped tank with arguably as much heart as a human. Kreutzer was immensely fascinated with it in both its assembly and as an individual. She didn’t expect it to be so lively, but she appreciates it all the same, especially since Tachi saved her life twice, arguably three times: once in the funhouse and twice in the alternate carnival. Aside from carrying her to safety, he also reminded Kreutzer of how important it was to survive and not just throw your life away because of a grudge. Had she not been dropped into his pilot seat, she would’ve assumed he had a heart somewhere in his interior. Perhaps she still does…

Princess Luna: The Equestrian Princess of the Night. Kreutzer met her by mere happenstance and the two hit if off through mere happenstance. She honestly never expected to resonate with the princess as much as she did, but it happened and it actually comforted her, especially when cheering up the Luna in Gargleblasted. She knows beneath the slightly intimidating exterior lies someone who just wants to be happy and accepted by others, just like Kreutzer.

Lemina Ausa: A powerful magician and head of the Magic Guild on the Thor. A very enthusiastic magician and perhaps even the slightest bit greedy, she and Kreutzer got along wonderfully. The two went on quite a few magical escapades and became very reliable fellow magic-users. She’s the biggest reason Kreutzer was able to advance as far as she did with her study in enchanting.

Shikieiki Yamaxanadu: The judge of Hell. Very intimidating to speak with, she takes a neutral stance on everything as a proper judge should. Though Kreutzer questioned her capabilities at first, she proved herself by knowing of Kreutzer’s past before it ever came up in conversation. She brought Kreutzer judgment when she asked for it and as a result, the girl was able to progress further in her development as a person. Though they didn’t speak much after that, Kreutzer will always appreciate her help.

Patchouli Knowledge: Another powerful magician Kreutzer met on the Thor. Though their relationship didn’t go beyond professional, Kreutzer appreciated having someone to go on magical escapades with. She was the one who told Kreutzer about the magic guild in the first place. The two have a mutual interest in each others’ capabilities, though that never got to be played out in-game.

Princess Celestia: The Equestrian Princess of the Day and Luna’s older sister. Kreutzer only spoke to her once, but thanks to the contest she posted, Kreutzer was able to reflect on the past year and come to terms with everything that happened. The best guides are the ones who push others in the right direction so they can travel on their own, right?

Seto Kaiba: Owner of the Kaiba Corporation and a very serious man in everything he does. A true businessman with a strong love for his younger brother, Mokuba. Kreutzer knew him best as her employer for a month or two, but it was partially thanks to him that she became so capable of handling alien technology. Working as one of his engineers certainly would do that…oh, and he introduced her to Duel Monsters. That is important.

Jake Clawson: A talented engineer and weapons designer. Also a cat guy, but that part’s not too important. He stood by Kreutzer ever since she announced her plans of putting together a response team and even helped her build her first fighter ship. Though they were mostly business partners, she came to appreciate him as a friend, especially after their successful test flight.

How did they change from their canon physically (Please explain what caused it to happen?):
Powers:

Canon Abilities
-Flight is a natural ability of Kreutzer’s. It’s exactly what it sounds like.
-Danmaku attacks that consist of firing many bullets arranged into patterns. Coming from a doujin shmup game lets her do this.
-Enchanting is a key ability of Kreutzer’s. She can enchant items to give them special effects and abilities, but she mostly uses this to bring her dolls to life.
-Doll manipulation deserves a section of its own. The dolls she creates are sentient and very much capable of combat. Each one has its own personality and style of combat, but they each have kamikaze bombs they can detonate upon physical contact with an enemy.
-Exile Illusion is her transformation ability. Several photonic wings sprout from Kreutzer’s back, making her danmaku attacks intensify and gives her a large general stat buff.

Her powers haven’t changed since she awoke in Mayfield. The only changes to her abilities are her familiarity with alien technology and the ability to pilot an aircraft. The latter is pretty self-explanatory and was earned from many hours of practice on a particular planet's flight simulation program, but the former is due to her time on the Thor, which had more advanced technology than her homeworld and Mayfield combined. Basically, all of the fancy things you usually see in any media that involves space travel and/or the future? She can make it.

Possessions:
-One photograph of Rosa Christopher, her best friend back home.
-Empress, an enchanted doll intentionally modeled after Rarity
-Functioning model ships
